problème d'installation scanner epson

Bonjour, je suis en échec total d'installation de mon scanner perfection 2480
Je suis sous Ubuntu depuis 1 semaines

certains scanners de Epson ne fonctionnent qu'avec les drivers fournis par Epson et ne se trouvent pas les bases de données des distributions...
par conséquent, aller chercher ici:
http://www.avasys.jp/lx-bin2/linux_e/scan/DL1.do
cocher le scanner voulu et télécharger le pilote iscan...
Par contre, il est possible que le pilote iscan entre en conflit avec libsane; d'autre part, renseigne toi comment on installe sous debian/ubuntu un .rpm; il faut je crois utiliser "allien"...
